Coming home can take a little settling
Travel changes sleep spaces, meals and routines. Your child may need more reassurance after you return. A few difficult nights do not mean your usual routine is gone; they give you a chance to make home feel familiar again.
Bring back the familiar cues
Return to your usual book, bedtime phrase and safe sleep space. Keep the sequence manageable while the family unpacks and catches up. If time zones changed, give yourself room to discuss timing rather than force the old clock immediately.
Make space for extra comfort
Offer reassurance when needed and keep overnight interactions calm. Meet feeding and care needs. Avoid introducing several new sleep goals while your household is still settling home.

Coaching and healthcare have different roles
This guide offers general education, not a medical assessment. Talk to a qualified healthcare provider about health, growth, feeding, breathing or persistent distress. For an urgent concern, seek urgent medical help.
